Tina retired from the New Jersey State Police with 26 years of service while focusing on traffic safety.  Her State Police assignments included Academy Instructor, Fatal Accident Unit Head, School and Resource Officer Unit Head, Traffic Bureau Chief and Regional Commander.  Tina has been a Motorcycle Safety Instructor in NJ since 2001, and teaches for Central Jersey Rider Training. She currently works as a Traffic Safety Specialist with South Jersey Transportation Planning Organization.

Ronald is a retired Lieutenant from the Union County Police Department. Having spent most of his career in the Traffic Division, Ron now serves as a Traffic Safety Specialist with AAA Northeast. Ron is also a member of the Brain Injury Alliance of New Jersey’s Motorcycle Coalition.





This virtual session aims to:

  • – Create a deeper understanding of “Distracted Driving” including the different types and their true dangers.
  • – Understand fatality rates and major causes including per mile driven and risk factors found to elevate crash likelihood.
  • – Present the results of the “Three Phase Study” done at the University of Utah.
  • – Recommendations for the automotive industries and safety communities.
